Academic Calendar

Courses are divided over 2 semesters:

I semester: 02/10/23 -02/02/24 

II semester: 11/03/24-14/06/24 

The breaks between semesters are available to the student for the acquisition of credits.

The welcome meeting will be held on 4th October 2023 at 4 pm in the Diagonale Room at the Department of Chemistry Via. P. Giuria 7 in presence.

Safety Course- LM Materials Science

All students enrolled in the Master's Degree in Materials Science must be in possession of a valid safety training course certificate for the access to the laboratories.

The General Training course, lasting 4 hours, does not expire (part A)

The Specific Risk Training course is valid for 5 years (part B)

It is possible to request the recognition of the Safety courses already attended, both for the General part and for the Specific Risk.

We remind you that:

  1. the certificate of the General Training course must include the date of issue, duration and signature of the trainer
  2. the certificate of the Specific Risk Training course (at least 8 hours) must mention the type of specific risk and should be valid.

The breaks between semesters are available to the student for the acquisition of credits.

The lessons of the first semester will begin on Monday 3 October 2022 and will take place in presence.

Lessons will take place in Aula Diagonale,  Aula Disegno and in Aula D1 in the Department of Chemistry, via Giuria 7 and Via Giuria 9.

The welcome meeting will be held on 5th October 2022 at 4 pm in the Diagonale Room at the Department of Chemistry Via. P. Giuria 7 in presence.

We remind you that it will be possible to follow all the lectures online.

The information about how to connect to online streaming can be found in the section courses under the voice "Course delivery". 

In order to take part in a lecture, it is mandatory to reserve a place in the classroom. This can be done via the service Student booking available on your Myunito (the service is already active).

From 1st September 2021 to 31st December 2021 also university students must be in possession of the green COVID-19 certification for participation in the educational and curricular activities in person.

Lessons of the second semester will start on Tuesday, 2 March 2021 and will take place in presence, i.e. in the classrooms as it was in the past. Alternatively, the same lessons can be followed both online via Webex and later, in offline mode, via the Moodle platform.

 Laboratory activities will be conducted as much as possible in presence.

In order to take part in a lecture, it is mandatory to reserve a place in the classroom. This can be done via the service Student booking available on your Myunito.

Please keep in mind that Moodle and Webex platforms can be accessed by all students registered to the UniTO portal. Students can therefore access online courses (both streaming and recorded).
